Putting the text around an Image

First you draw a text box where you want it, even over the top of the image, then you click the draw tool and draw a line around the part of the image that you don't want the text on, but make sure the line goes all the way around the image and make sure that the line touches at each end. You the have to make the line invisible, after this add the text and its all done.

Focus Group

My focus group included 3 people that can be put into my target audience. There was images of my 3 pages loaded up onto the phone that the girl is holding and so they were all looking at the front cover page in this image.
There were a few comments about the contents page not matching the front cover page and the double page spread very well. I took this on board and asked why? The answer to this was that the images on the 2 other pages were black and white, but the images on the contents page weren’t. They also commented on the fact that some of the fonts had been carried over from the front cover to the double page spread and that there was also the same fonts on the front cover and the contents page. They also liked the fact that the pink colour had been carried across all 3 pages to make them link together more.

However they didn’t like the fact that I had photoshoped the artist so that she was in black and white but had “fake blue eyes and fake pink lips”.

Putting the Masthead over the Artist

This images shows when I found out how to put part of the mast head in front of the artist. First you make the masthead over 2 or 3 layers this allows you to put the artist between the layers. Then you select the part of the girl that you want, I selected the whole of her and created a new layer with just her on it you can then put her between the layers.
