Placing Images

This is when I found out how to put images onto the page, you have to click on file then go down to place and then find the image that you wanted. This is on Indesign.

Changing the Background Colour

This is when I found out how to change the background colour first, I had to draw a box around the whole of the page then as you can see on the right hand side of the screen I could fill it with the colour that I wanted.

New Layers

I learned how to create a new layer on indesign, this allowed me to keep things separate and I am then able to find them easily and  click on the component of the page that I would like to edit.

Wrapping Text Around The Person

This was a new idea to me to start with and so I had to try it out. First I used the pencil tool to draw around the girl so that the text wouldn't go over the top of her, (it had to be connected at both ends otherwise it wouldn't work). Then I drew a text box on the same layer so they would interact with each other, I then added text (not the actual text that will be used) to see what it would be like.

Double Page Spread Development

The double page spread is on the artist Millie Louise I started with a monochrome background, but after consideration I decided to add a little colour to the image as there was very little colour. I then asked a group of people in my target audience with they preferred, this then helped me chose which one my target audience would like the most. I then decided that the coloured image was more interesting for my target audience.

Front Cover Development

This shows how I have changed my front cover over my time of production, It shows that I have adapted the cover from comments made at the hot-desking and tried to make it better suited for my target audience. The most developed cover has less colours like suggested but also has the bright pink that links in with the rest of the contents page and double page spread.
